This replacement seatpost for the Tarmac SL8 ensures the perfect fit with two different setback options — 0mm and 15mm. Both have 0mm option, but the SL8 has a different head design for the 15mm version (2-bolt micro-adjust vs. the SL7's design). The SL8 post also doesn't list Di2 integration, which was a key feature of the SL7 post — likely reflecting the SL8's different internal cable routing approach.
0mm Setback — Cylindrical Aluminum Head
The 0mm option uses a cylindrical aluminum head with a single bolt for fore-aft and tilt adjustment. This is the same clamp design used on Roval's Alpinist and Control SL posts — proven, reliable, and compatible with both carbon and alloy saddle rails. The 46mm cradle distributes clamping force evenly, which is especially important for carbon rails.
